Stop Disasters

Stop Disasters is aimed at teaching children how to build safer villages and cities against disasters. This initiative comes within the 2006-2007 World Disaster Reduction Campaign “Disaster Risk Reduction Begins at School”. “Stop Disasters!” simulates natural hazards and serves as an interactive educational tool for children aged 9-16. It enables players to experience 5 natural environmental hazards (wildfires, earthquakes, floods, tsunamis and hurricanes). Learn of the risks posed by natural hazards and manage your resources. Build schools, hospitals, housing and defences to protect the local population. Play multiple realistic disaster scenarios including tsunami, wildfire and earthquakes.
