Red Dead Redemption 2 is Western themed action game. It’s set in an incredibly detailed environment. With an equally as impressive animal design, it affords players to do way more than gunslingin’. Its online mode features various different roles you can take on in the wild west. One of these roles is the naturalist role.
Whilst playing in the naturalist, the player can choose for a “conservationist” approach. The player is send out on mission to track, study, document and preserve animals. Playing the game has proven to make it’s players better in distinguishing animal species (Crowley et al., 2021). Playing in this naturalist role might even further reinforce this.
