Costing the Earth

Costing the Earth is a environmental radio broadcast that airs on BBC Radio 4. The series describes itself as “Fresh ideas from the sharpest minds working toward a cleaner, greener planet”. Their archive currently contains over 350 episodes, in which they discuss a variety of different topics related to sustainability. Each episode is researched for a period of about 4 – 10 weeks, in which the team identifies key issues and informants, hear what they have to say, and create a coherent story (Harris, 2011).

The show was founded in 2007 by Roger Harrabin, and is currently still running. Each episode is about 30 minutes in length, and are broadcast every week.
