From the itch.io website: “The news doesn’t even mention it anymore. The rising temperatures, mass migrations, dirty water, acid rain–none of it. It’s all bought and paid for by corporations, those entities which press down upon the people, grinding them into the pavement until nothing but a husk is left. Everyone is angry, sick, and defeated. Well, not everyone. […]”

The game tasks players to join a crew, plan a mission, and fight against corporations that pollute the soil, give rise to new diseases through livestock exploitation and expand their systems of domination. Players pick a class, use abilities, and support each other in a “fast-paced, encounter-based game of radical environmental activism”. The game was created using the LUMEN system, an independent RPG system created by Spencer Campbell of GilaRPGs.
The game clearly addresses the indie TTRPG scene through its very earnest but not particularly subtle anti-corporate rhetoric but also the use of specialized lingo like ‘ashcan release’ (which denotes an unpolished, early, and/or work-in-progress version of a game) or ‘illuminated’ (which refers to the game’s underlying system/’engine’). It’s tagline also establishes ‘ecotage’, i.e. sabotage as a means of addressing the climate crisis, as a shared frame. As such, it allows for ‘performing’ allegiance with a specific, ‘radical’ form of environmentalism outside the media mainstream.
