Forest is an app that helps promote productivity and gamifies the process of staying focused into tree growing.
The app plants a virtual ‘tree’ when the user can stay focused for a set period of time without using other apps in the blocklist. If the user gets distracted, the tree dies instead. The achievement is calculated and shown in the form of a ‘forest’, where users can plant different kinds of trees, which are unlocked as the focused time of users accumulate. This app allows users to compete with users around the world as well as people within their own social networks.
Additionally, users can spend virtual coins they gained in the app to plant (no more than 5) real trees, which is fulfilled by the Forest team partnering with the organization Trees for the Future.
